Arnie Delstanche

Defence Science Technology Laboratory

Arnie Delstanche has made it his mission to transform Dstl’s approach to data analysis for wargaming and field experimentation. Through development of novel analytical tools and commitment to sharing knowledge and best practice, Arnie has strived to develop himself and others while improving the efficiency and quality of analysis used to inform decision-making across the MOD and Civil Service. His enthusiasm for implementing innovation so early in his career undoubtedly sets him apart and the pioneering dashboards and analytical capability he has developed have generated evidence that will inform the operations of our Armed Forces now and in the future.

Faye McCarthy

HM Revenue & Customs

Faye is a young professional woman who has made a massive difference to helping parents and childcare providers in developing and improving all aspects of the Childcare Service which HMRC provides. Faye started in October 2020. Since that time, she has helped deliver multiple changes for the Childcare Service while backfilling a very difficult much higher-level role without question. She has achieved so much in these four years, from starting as a Product support agent, to a Delivery Manager to a junior Product Manager for the service. She now leads multiple changes in this area.

Lucy Wyatt

Forestry Commission

Lucy joined the Forestry Commission (FC) in 2020 to create and head up a nationwide Promotion and Engagement Team, to help us play our part in a major Defra-FC programme: the Nature for Climate Fund. Consistently excelling and fast becoming a trusted advisor to senior civil servants here and elsewhere, Lucy has since led her team through major change, doubling in size, and restructure. Under her creative and ambitious leadership, the team has transformed public awareness of our work and tangibly contributed to our delivery of over 4,500 hectares of new woodland last year (44% more than the previous year).
